A baby tracker with no subscription

One purchase, or none at all.

Explainer · Updated September 16, 2026

Vaava does not have a subscription. Logging, the calendar, trends, milestones, CSV export, and free local Wi-Fi sharing with a partner work indefinitely without one, and Vaava Plus is a one-time in-app purchase rather than a plan that renews. Nothing converts into a monthly charge later, and there is no cancellation to remember.

How a one-time purchase differs from a subscription

Vaava Plus is a one-time €14.99 in-app purchase, and the price varies by country. Apple or Google handles the payment the same way it handles any other app purchase, so there is no Vaava billing page, no payment details stored by Vaava, and no account created to take the money.

Because it does not renew, there is no renewal date and no cancellation flow. Normal App Store and Google Play refund rules apply, and store purchases restore through the original store account.

There is one practical limit: restoring Plus works on the platform you bought it on. A purchase on iPhone covers your iPhone, and a purchase on Android covers your Android device.

Free forever, with no account

Feeding, sleep, diapers, and your own custom event types, with the calendar, trends, milestones, developmental tracking, Photo Book, and CSV export.

Free local Wi-Fi data sharing with a partner, paired by QR code, with no cloud login and no data sent through Vaava's servers.

Two phones as a local Wi-Fi baby monitor with cry alerts and hold-to-talk, plus a calming-sounds player with one free white-noise preset.

None of this expires, and none of it runs on a trial clock. Buy Plus or do not, the tracker works the same way it did on day one.

What the one-time Plus purchase adds

Optional, one-time Plus (€14.99, may vary by country): night-sleep import from Apple Health and Health Connect, voice dictation, growth scan from a photo, predicted adult height, daily summaries, family data sharing, internet baby monitoring, and the full calming-sounds library.

Family Data Sharing is the one most parents weigh first, since it is the only way to sync the timeline across different networks or keep an encrypted copy that restores on a new phone. It is separate from free local Wi-Fi sharing, and one purchase covers the owner and up to nine invited family members. How Family Data Sharing works.

Why there is no subscription tier

A baby tracker holds a few months of a family's life. Charging for it monthly means charging for access to your own history, and the usual result is that people stop logging, or keep paying for data they already entered.

Keeping the core free and the extras one-time means the app is not waiting to interrupt you. There is no paywall on the timeline and no upgrade prompt between the crib and the log screen.

FAQ

Is Vaava really free without a subscription?

Yes. Logging, the calendar, trends, milestones, developmental tracking, Photo Book, CSV export, local Wi-Fi partner sharing, and the local baby monitor are free, and none of them expire or require a membership to keep working.

What does Vaava Plus cost?

One-time €14.99 in-app purchase, and the price varies by country. It does not renew, there is no auto-renewal, and there is nothing to cancel.

Is there a free trial that turns into a subscription?

No. Vaava's core is free outright rather than a trial, and Plus is a single purchase instead of a plan that converts to recurring billing. Nothing changes quietly at the end of a trial period, because there is no trial period.

What happens if I never buy Plus?

Nothing locks. Your history, exports, and free local Wi-Fi sharing keep working, and the free tier does not expire or run on a timer. Plus features stay unavailable until you buy them once.

Do both parents have to pay?

No. Free local Wi-Fi sharing costs nothing for either parent, and one Vaava Plus purchase covers the owner and up to nine invited family members for Family Data Sharing. A partner never buys Plus separately.

How do I restore Vaava Plus on a new phone?

Restore the purchase through the App Store or Google Play using the same store account you bought it with. Platform-to-platform restore, iPhone to Android or the reverse, is not available yet.
